Product Overview
CK METAL STORAGE SOLUTIONS offers mobile cantilever storage for fence manufacturers as an engineered proposal for long tube and section stock. The typical configuration pairs 6 m (19.7 ft) material with a 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) rated storage unit; the quotation must define whether carrier self-weight is included. A gantry retrieves the carrier to a transfer station serving your cutting operation.
The arms remain fixed. Rail-guided bases move complete rack rows to open one shared working aisle. This arrangement is worth comparing with fixed racks when you want to consolidate storage aisles but still need to supply different tube sizes for fence posts, rails and gate frames.
- 6 m is the proposed material length, not the installed machine length.
- 3,000 kg applies to the specified storage unit, not an entire mobile row.
- Ordinary non-extending arms support the carriers.
- One shared aisle opens at the requested rack location.
- Carrier retrieval ends at the agreed transfer position.

The illustrations show mobile bases and optional paint schemes, not a completed fence-factory installation or dimensional proof of the 6 m / 3 t configuration. Colours can be specified against a RAL reference.
Plan both bundle cutting and smaller gate orders
Describe the amount of tube that leaves the carrier for each cutting task. A bundle-sawing order may take a full pack of one section; a custom gate frame may require only some of the available lengths. Those requests need different handling at the same transfer position.
For a full pack, show the lifting method and where the pack is received at the saw. For a partial pick, show how the required tubes are removed and how the remainder stays supported. The storage gantry moves the carrier; it does not by itself separate individual tubes or feed a saw.
List square hollow sections, rectangular hollow sections and round tube separately. Include wall thickness and surface condition in the material schedule. Similar outside dimensions do not establish the same piece weight or handling arrangement, and round stock needs an agreed restraint method.

These are planning examples rather than a claim that the system assembles job kits. If you need an order identifier, coating field or cut-length record in the inventory software, specify the required data and transactions before the controls scope is agreed.
Keep raw tubes separate from mesh and welded frames
This proposal concerns long tube and section stock before fabrication. Fence production may bring tubes and welded mesh together at a welding line, but they remain different storage and handling tasks. Mesh sheets, wire coils and finished gate frames are outside this long-stock proposal unless separately engineered.
The same distinction applies after cutting. A short post blank or frame member cannot be treated as a 6 m bar with spare capacity. Send its minimum length and intended loading pattern if you want it returned to this store; the carrier must provide suitable support and restraint.

Test the shared aisle against the cutting sequence
Use a real sequence of material requests to compare mobile and fixed racks. Include a repeat run of one post section, a change to a different rail section and a smaller gate order. Add returns as well as retrievals; a partially used carrier still occupies the transfer position until its next move.
In the mobile arrangement, accessing another location can involve moving rack rows to open the required aisle. Consolidating the aisles therefore needs to be considered alongside the requested access sequence. No retrieval time or simultaneous access capability is established by the 3 t rating.

Layout |
What changes |
What to compare for fence production |
|
Fixed cantilever racks with gantry |
Rack groups are anchored, with an aisle between groups |
Space for permanent aisles and access to frequently requested sections |
|
Mobile cantilever racks with gantry |
Rail-guided bases move whole rows to open one shared aisle |
Row positioning during changes between post, rail and gate-section requests |
Both layouts use ordinary non-extending arms. See our gantry and rack configuration overview for the wider product family. Use the same inventory and request sequence for the two proposals so the comparison addresses your cutting work.

The storage-unit rating does not establish the capacity of the complete moving row. Provide the number and intended loading of its storage positions. Carrier geometry, load distribution and usable metal payload belong in the engineered quotation.

Leave room for the handoff as well as the racks
Position the transfer station around the next handling action. Show the saw infeed, lifting approach and the route taken by cut tubes towards welding. Keep the mesh supply route visible on the plan if it passes the same area; the tube-store footprint alone does not describe that shared space.
Provide column locations, the lowest overhead obstruction and floor information. Rails can be embedded or surface mounted; the chosen arrangement and its foundation reactions require a site design. Electrical demand and installation dimensions are established with that layout.
Personnel must remain outside the operating aisle during operation. An aisle-entry alarm is optional; do not assume that it provides an automatic protective stop. Access, maintenance and restart procedures need an agreed controls design. Direct manual carrier retrieval during a power failure is not permitted.
Questions from a fence and gate workshop
Send the stock list and a representative cutting schedule
To assess mobile cantilever storage for fence manufacturers, send CK METAL STORAGE SOLUTIONS your tube and section list, lengths, material masses and quantities per carrier. Include surface finishes, any short-stock returns and a representative sequence of cutting requests. A site plan should show the saw, welding area, mesh route and available lifting equipment.
We can prepare a layout and quotation around those inputs. Include ERP or MES requirements if stock references and retrieval transactions need to connect to your existing software; interface scope is assessed separately.
Automated equipment normally has a 60–90 day lead time covering inspection, trial assembly, commissioning work and export packing. Assembly manuals, videos and engineer support for site commissioning are available. The standard warranty is one year, with an after-sales response within 24 hours.
Request a tube-storage layout and quotation with your material and site information.
