Cargo-type shelves generally refer to shelves where containers such as pallets and storage cages are placed. From the perspective of operation methods, cargo-level shelves are generally operated by forklifts. When designing the plan, we can usually calculate the throughput of the shelf. The maximum number of shelves that can be accommodated. Customers can use this design number to plan the storage method of the warehouse.
Common types of storage racks include:
1. Heavy-duty shelves
Heavy-duty shelves are the most common type of cargo-level shelves and are currently the most widely used type of cargo-level shelves. Among all rack-type racks, heavy-duty racks have the lowest cost, but the storage rate is also the lowest. It is suitable for warehouses with a variety of goods.
2. Through-type shelves
Through-type shelves require a single type of goods, and goods can be put in first in and last out. Through-type racks have higher requirements for forklifts. The width of the vehicle body cannot be too wide, and the forklift needs to enter the access channel. The storage rate of through-type shelves is high, but when storing operations, it is necessary to enter the aisle slowly, which is not very efficient.
3. Gravity shelves
Gravity shelves are unpowered automatic shelves that automatically slide down from a high place through the gravity of goods. It has certain requirements on the material of the pallet, and the cost is relatively high. But first in, first out, storage efficiency is high.
4. Shuttle shelves
Shuttle racking is an automated cargo rack that uses a shuttle as a storage machine and operates in conjunction with a forklift and shuttle. Shuttle racks are the future development direction of cargo racks, which can be first in, first out. If you want to achieve higher storage efficiency, you need to equip more shuttles.
5. Press-in shelves
Push-in racks are also called push-back racks. The cargo space trolley with goods already placed is pushed to the rear by a forklift. This kind of shelf is generally used less often.
